The Bloom Programme:
from struggling to succeeding

A Montessori-based structured literacy programme for children with dyslexia and learning differences — 12 personal sessions a month, built around your child's Individual Learning Plan.

Sound familiar?

Homework battles. Tears over reading. A child who says "I'm stupid."

Your child understands things when you explain them out loud — but letters swim, b and d swap places, spelling won't stick, and every school day chips away at their confidence. More tuition of the same kind won't fix it, because the method is the problem, not your child.

The Abloom Method

Montessori hands. Structured literacy spine. One child at the centre.

Most help available to struggling readers is drill and repetition — the very approach that already failed your child once. The Abloom Method is different. It combines three things that almost never come together: genuine Montessori practice (learning through choice, movement, and beautiful materials), a research-based structured literacy sequence designed for dyslexia, and an Individual Learning Plan so your child moves at the pace of their brain, not a syllabus.

1 · Structured Literacy

Phonological and phonemic awareness, a systematic phonics system, and reading intervention strategies — the foundation everything else grows from.

2 · Writing & Spelling

Handwriting development, spelling and word structure, and sentence formation — taught multisensorially so it finally sticks.

3 · Reading Comprehension

From decoding words to understanding and enjoying them — vocabulary, language comprehension, and reading for meaning.

4 · Dyslexia Support & Cognitive Coaching

Working memory, processing, focus, and executive-function support, woven into every session with specialist strategies.

5 · Confidence & Emotional Support

The pillar that holds the rest up: safe practice, engineered wins, and a child who learns to say "I can" again.

Delivered through play

Stories, games, songs, rhythm, and real-life language — every session feels like play to your child and works like therapy underneath.

How it runs

Questions parents ask

Answered honestly

Will online classes really work for my child?

Yes — and you don't have to take our word for it. Online sessions are live, one-to-one, short-burst and highly interactive: games on screen, materials you receive for home, movement breaks, and songs. Many of our strongest results come from online families. The free discovery class lets you watch it work for your child before you decide.

My child isn't motivated. Will they even cooperate?

That "lack of motivation" is almost always self-protection — children avoid what has only ever hurt them. We start where your child feels safe, build wins fast, and let them make choices within the lesson. When learning stops hurting, motivation comes back on its own. We see it again and again.

Does my child need a dyslexia diagnosis to join?

No. Many children come to us before any formal assessment. If your child is struggling with reading, spelling, or confidence, the discovery class will help you understand what's going on — and we can point you toward formal assessment if it would help.

How soon will we see progress?

Every child is different, which is exactly why we build an Individual Learning Plan. Most parents notice the emotional shift first — less resistance, more willingness — within the first weeks, with reading and writing gains building steadily from there. We track progress and show it to you.

Is my child too old (or too young) for this?

The programme serves ages 4–12, kindergarten to Primary 6. Early is wonderful, but it is never too late — some of our proudest stories are older children who everyone else had given up on.

Let's meet your child — not the label.
